Allocations Process

Since 1946, our

United Way

has been helping meet the human service needs of mid-Missouri. Our local levels of quality and fiscal accountability set benchmarks that other organizations, both locally and nationally, strive to attain. When you make a pledge to Heart of Missouri United Way, you can be confident that your gift will be used wisely. Our community allocations process works to ensure that every program we fund is well managed and getting results.

 

 

More than 100 community volunteers act as the ‘seal of approval’ each spring, thoroughly reviewing every application for

United Way

funding on behalf of our more than 14,500 donors in our seven county service area. Our allocations panel volunteers review each agency from top to bottom, then recommend to the Heart of Missouri Board of Directors the program funding designed to achieve the most impact for those in need.

 

 

Year-round, a dedicated group of volunteers, the Agency Relations Committee meets regularly to address emerging needs of our funded programs, offer value-added services and help connect programs to needed resources in our community.
