Leadership Circle
Leadership Circle recognizes a select group of individuals and couples who contribute annual gifts of at least $1,000 to Heart of Missouri United Way. Donor designations within Leadership Circle include Silver, Gold, Platinum, & Alexis de Tocqueville.
Leadership Circle members are recognized in the Heart of Missouri Annual Report, community publications, and are invited to attend special Leadership Circle events.

Alexis de Tocqueville Society
The national United Way Alexis de Tocqueville Society was founded in 1984 in order to deepen the understanding, commitment, and support of United Way’s most generous and community-minded investors. Locally, Bo Fraser, Ann and Stan Kroenke, Greg and Virginia Mattli, Dan Stubler, and an anonymous donor established our Society in 1999.
Membership in the local Society is granted to individuals who contribute at least $10,000 annually to United Way. Tocqueville Society members are recognized in the Heart of Missouri Annual Report as well as community publications and are invited to attend special Society events.
Society is a wonderful way to support several local charities and initiatives with one gift.

Tocqueville Society Origins
Alexis Charles-Henri Clerel De Tocqueville traveled the United States in 1831 and observed that Americans hold in common a unique willingness to work for the public welfare—a tendency to lend faithful support to neighbors and countrymen, especially in times of need.
It is in this spirit that United Way of America created the United Way Tocqueville Society. Today, the Society is one of the world’s most prestigious institutions for individuals who are passionate about improving peoples’ lives and strengthening communities.
