About Us

United Way employee with their hands raised in triumph

Heart of Missouri United Way fights to improve lives in the community.

Our Vision

Our community wins by Living United: By responding to changing community needs. By forging strategic partnerships and fostering effective solutions to tackle local issues. By harnessing the best resources and inspiring others to join the fight in defeating barriers to basic needs, health, education, and financial stability.

Inclusion, Diversity, & Equity

We recognize structural racism and other forms of oppression that have contributed to persistent disparities that United Way seeks to dismantle. We work with residents and public and private partners to co-create solutions that ensures everyone has the resources, support, opportunities, and networks they need to thrive.

Our Impact

We improve the health, education and financial stability of every member of our community by forging unlikely partnerships and co-creating solutions to problems with the help of local members of our community. As a data driven organization Community Investments are made through Impact Grants, COVID-19 Pandemic Response and Recovery, Inclusion, Diversity and Equity (IDE) grants and Capacity Building/Continuous Improvement program.
